The Surf Coast Trek: Community Fundraising at its Finest
The Surf Coast Trek
If you're looking for a challenge that means something, the Surf Coast Trek might be just what you're after. This annual community event takes participants on a spectacular journey along the Surf Coast, winding through Ironbark forests, across dramatic cliff tops, and along long sandy beaches with sweeping ocean views, all while raising vital funds for Kids+ and The Give Where You Live Foundation. To date, the event has raised over $2,000,000.
What is the Surf Coast Trek?
The Surf Coast Trek is a community fitness and fundraising event that brings together people from across the Geelong region and beyond for a shared physical challenge in one of Victoria's most beautiful coastal landscapes. Trek 23km or 37km and push yourself beyond what you thought possible as you raise vital funds for two local organisations who do a lot of good in the Geelong community.
Why Participate?
Every step you take on the Trek helps support children and young people with disability to access the therapy, programs, and opportunities they deserve. Funds raised go directly to Kids+ and The Give Where You Live Foundation, making a real difference in the lives of local families.
But beyond the fundraising, past participants describe the Trek as a deeply rewarding personal experience; a chance to discover their own backyard, challenge themselves physically, and feel the warmth of a community that truly shows up for each other. The event is known for its friendly atmosphere, excellent organisation, and the genuine sense of achievement that comes with crossing the finish line.
Who Can Take Part?
The Trek is open to anyone who loves the outdoors, a good challenge, and making a positive impact. Whether you're a seasoned trekker or tackling something like this for the first time, you'll be welcomed with open arms.
