Group Therapy at Kids+
Our termly group therapy and intensive programs, which run during school term and holidays, each have a particular focus or theme . They are goal directed to ensure they meet individual needs and take place in an encouraging, relaxed, learning environment. Benefits of group therapy can include:
Learning and practising socials skills
Imitating of life scenarios such as playing at a friends house or attending school
Creating and developing friendships with peers
Making progress on goals one step at a time

Age: 12 months to 2.5 years
Therapy Team: Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology and AHA
Day & Time: Friday, 10:15am
Location: Kids+
About: This group aims to support development in movement and joint attention skills including crawling, standing, balancing and jumping combined with singing, dancing and communicating with others.

Age: Early Primary School (prep to year 3)
Therapy Team: Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and AHA
Day & Time: Tuesday, 4:15pm

About: Do you feel more motivated to exercise with friends? So do we! That’s why we created this group.
This is a fun and supportive program that focuses on building strength, improving endurance, and boosting overall fitness — all through engaging group activities designed to keep kids moving and motivated together along with building on their social skills in a supportive environment.

Age: Late primary school aged (9+years)
Therapy Team: Physiotherapy and AHA + Anula Costa
Day & Time: Monday, 4pm
Location: Landy Field
About: Looking to build your fitness and increase your speed through frame running? This group is for you!
Kids+ is thrilled to have the support of Victorian Institute of Sport para-athletics coach Anula Costa, who will be guiding this program.
The group is open to participants aged 9 years and over, including young adults.
Come along, challenge yourself, and take your frame running to the next level!

Team: Speech Pathologist, AHA and Noah Callan
Day & Time: Thursday, 2pm - 3:30pm
Location: Kids+ Centre
About: This program provides a supportive and relaxed environment for individuals to participate in conversations using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to express their thoughts and opinions. It is facilitated by Noah, our AAC and Technology Coordinator
