Supporting men with shared experience to come together in a safe and organised environment.

Come along and spend time with peers as our facilitator, Matt Perrett, leads this supportive and welcoming space for male parents and carers of all Kids+ participants.

If this is your first session please reach out to Matt on the contact info below to let him know that you are coming along.

What it is


A place to:

  • make time for yourself and your wellbeing

  • share your stories (if you choose to do so)

  • slow things down

  • practice deep listening, to yourself and others

  • be present

  • be heard within a confidential space

  • be supported by other men

  • build relationships and connect with other dads within the disability community

What it is not


  • counselling or therapy

  • about preaching or teaching

  • offering advice

  • religious

About Matt


Matt Perrett has participated in and led local men’s groups for 15 years.

He also works as a Mentor, Counsellor, Personal Trainer, Climbing Coach, Outdoor Educator, and adventure-based Disability Support worker.

Matt and his family have been part of the Kids + community since the arrival of their son Remy, who is now three years old.

Matt is enthusiastic about the opportunity to support other dads in the Kids + community.
