Supporting Our Community through Evidence-Based Research
We partner with young people, families, and leading research institutions to find and deliver the best outcomes for children with disabilities. Our purpose is to support young people with disabilities and their families to live the life they want to live through excellence in research.
At Kids+, our research exists for one reason: to improve the daily lives of children with disabilities and their families in Geelong and beyond.
Led by Dr Anna Urbanowicz in partnership with Deakin University, the Kids+ Research team bridges the gap between evidence and everyday practice. Our work directly informs the therapy services we deliver — so every family we support benefits from the latest research in neurodevelopmental disabilities and paediatric therapy.
We collaborate with young people, their families, and trusted research partners to ensure our findings are meaningful, practical, and community-led. Our current focus areas are outlined in the Kids+ Research Strategy 2025–2027.
Whether you're a family wanting to participate, a researcher seeking a partner, or an organisation looking to fund impactful disability research in regional Victoria — we'd love to connect.
