Bike Ed: Supported Bike Riding for Children in Geelong

Bike Ed at Kids+

Riding a bike is a milestone many children and families look forward to — and at Kids+, we're here to help make it possible. Our Bike Ed program is an NDIS-funded therapy program that supports children with bike and trike riding goals, delivered by experienced physiotherapists and occupational therapists in a fun, encouraging environment.

How Does Bike Ed Work?

Each child receives 1:1 therapy support from a physio or OT, while participating alongside other children working towards similar goals. This combination of individual attention and peer connection creates a positive, motivating atmosphere where children can learn at their own pace and feel supported every step of the way.

What Do We Work On?

Every child's goals are different, and our team tailors each session to suit individual needs and abilities. Areas of focus may include building endurance and strength, learning to use a balance bike or trike, working towards riding with two wheels, transitioning off training wheels, and developing road safety awareness.

Who is Bike Ed for?

Bike Ed is suitable for any child or young person with bike or trike riding goals, regardless of ability or experience level. Whether your child is just getting started or looking to build on existing skills, our team will work with you to find the right approach for them.

Bike riding is so much more than just a fun activity. It supports physical development, builds confidence, and opens up opportunities for independence and social participation. At Kids+, we take a therapy-informed approach to ensure each child is set up for success in a way that feels achievable and enjoyable.
