In the Community
Being involved in community activities and programs is important for children, to develop friendships and have fun, and for Parents/Caregivers to foster overall family wellbeing. Children learn best when engaged in everyday activities with others. Community visits allow collaboration and communication between your therapy team and the range of significant other people in your child’s life. Therapists may visit structured community settings like gymnastics, athletics, scouts, or unstructured settings like the playground, park or shopping centre.
