CPEC joins Kids+
The Boards of Directors of Kids Plus Foundation (Kids+) and Cerebral Palsy Education Centre (CPEC) Kids+ have today announced that CPEC will become part of Kids+, joining as a specialist service within a single, strengthened organisation.
The integration brings together two highly respected NDIS therapy providers with a shared commitment to individuals, families, and evidence-informed practice.
Kids+ will continue as the lead organisation, with CPEC’s specialist expertise and clinical leadership strengthening the depth and capability of services available to the community.
Both organisations are widely recognised for their outstanding clinical expertise, specialist knowledge, and long-standing contribution to supporting people with cerebral palsy and complex physical needs. Their reputation for high quality, family-centred and evidence-based practice has established these organisations as leaders in the disability sector across Victoria.
CPEC’s identity, expertise and legacy will be preserved as part of Kids+, with the CPEC name continuing.
This integration ensures continuity of support for clients, alongside enhanced access to specialist expertise, stronger interdisciplinary teams and a more resilient organisation able to invest in service quality, teaching, research and sector leadership. There will be no immediate changes to services, clinicians, or locations.
Shaun Cannon, CEO of Kids+, said:
“We are delighted to be bringing together two exceptional organisations and two highly skilled teams. CPEC’s specialist expertise and clinical leadership significantly enhances our capacity and capability, and allows us to support more children and families with greater depth, coordination and care.”
Claire Cotter, CEO of CPEC, said:
“CPEC has always been committed to delivering the highest standard of care. By merging with Kids+, we can protect and grow our specialist expertise, while expanding opportunities for collaboration, learning, and impact.”
Shaun Cannon will be the Chief Executive Officer of the combined entity, providing leadership across the combined Kids+ and CPEC sites and services.
Across Australia, disability and early childhood service providers are operating in an increasingly complex NDIS environment, with rising demand, workforce pressures and regulatory challenges. The merger positions Kids+ to respond to these challenges while continuing to deliver high-quality allied health supports and services.
